Sweet Landon, you turning 5 was super emotional for me. I cried every time thinking about and looking back at your baby pics. You are no longer baby at all and such a big kid now. There's something about graduating pre school and moving on to kindergarten that has me like (bawling) cue the water works!
You love tranformers, power rangers, sword fighting, nerf guns. You love the water and love pools, squirt guns, pools, going to the beach. You did a month long 4 night week swim school this June and you did great. You started out in Level 2 and within 1.5 weeks you were moved up to level 3. You can float on your back and forward float and kinda swim on your own a small distance. It was a pain to go 4 days a week but you really made so much progress. Well prob sign you up again in the fall (indoor pool) this time around. It was too hard with vacations and business of summer to do another summer month.
You finished up pre school at good news in early June and it was so hard to move you from there because you absolutely love it there, the teachers esp Lizzy, your friends. They called you funny man kraemer. haha we knew it would be a good transition to school to have you do the summer care program at your future school with kids your age. They do fun field trips and it gets you accustomed to your new school, kindergarten rooms, bathroom, library, eating in the lunch room etc. It was a little rough the first couple of weeks but you seem to really like it now. Every where we go we seem to run into kids from your class too, Hi Landon etc we even discovered one boy also named Landon's grandparents live down the street from us.
You are so smart, your memory is like crazy. You can remember things from books, dinosaurs names facts, etc. You remember super detailed things all the way back to age 3 too. Your one smart cookie that's for sure. Your cutting/writing skills have exploded..you are super good at writing your name and will write most letters..you still get a little frustrated. Weve worked some on sight words.
Speech-- you continued to go to speech twice a week for 30 mins at a local elementary school during the school year. Your dad and I alternated going to get you and taking you and bringing you back to school..such a pain but we didn't want you riding a van by yourself. You made a lot of progress..working oh sh, ch sounds s... etc towards the end you have kinda starting stuttering, repeating yourself which got me concerned but your teacher said this is common around this age and usually means a language explosion soon. Youll continue to go to speech but right at your school so we wont have to come and take you any more. YES!!! Well see how you progress and how much longer youll need to go etc. But my thought is it cant hurt right?
You love your ipad and watching you tube things..hobby kids etc.. we really have to limit this but in the mornings youll wake yourself up and go downstairs and watch it while we get ready..and it may not be the best thing for you but it helps our mornings go smoothly. You recently love doing puzzles and will do the same ones over and over. Love to have dance parties and sing and dance crazy. You love telling jokes and being a jokester class clown..no idea where you get that from? We hope you will behave and not end up at the principals office. Ahhhh. You seem to do well at school but occasionally they have to remind you to listen.
Your getting better at eating..at least trying things or if we say eat 2 more bites etc. You still love mac and cheese quesadillas, hot dogs, water melon, yogurt, popsicles. You love to help bake cookies/muffins.
You definitely are our rule follower and people pleaser...you will shut down if you think were mad or if you aren't doing something right--speech homework writing etc. You don't get naps at your new school so some nights you are just too tired and get cranky and seem not to listen.. say I don't care, Im not a part of this family etc...Ahh can be so challenging. usually a break in your room resets you.. You def get hyper around your cousins/ neighbor friends and struggle to listen more.
Your still the biggest sweetheart and mamas boy you always say you'll marry me, want to hold my hand, and want me to kiss you bahahha. I m sure you wont feel this way for much longer so Ill take it all in. hahaha
You are still sucking your thumb..ahha you stopped for months bc you cut your tongue on a pop can and then you up and started it again. Weve tried smelly nail polish etc.. hoping we can fix this.
You don't really have an interest to ride your bike weve tried a few times without training wheels I really think you could but you are scared. You love riding your scooter.
Putting your shoes on clothes on etc you can do all of it but you constantly whine for us to help you.
Your still really short compared to other kids but being our kid I know youll shoot up..prob in high school haha.
Wearing your glasses goes pretty well but you are so rough on them your new pair from May is already scratched up and scuffed up.
You go to bed well still without much fight you brush your teeth and go potty usually a bath and then we read a few books and you go to bed. you like to sleep with your light on and a few weeks wed catch you sitting up at the top of the stairs staring at us watch tv... eventually youd get bored and go back to bed on your own lol
Im so excited for you to start school, I know it will be a VERY emotional day for me and I hope I can hold in the tears until you cant see me. bahhahahah We are hoping you can ride the bus to and from school to save us from paying before and after care and they start school so dang late here..after 9 am. So excited to see you grown and how much learn in school. I really hope youll love it and that kids will be nice.

2 years old
Our sweet Bray Bray!
You are turning 2. EEK it has gone by too fast! You are talking up a storm and want to do everything your big bro does. You are def fearless and figure out things on your own. You and your bro could not be more different from each other.
You weigh and inches tall.
You wear some 2T stuff and some 3T-esp tops.
Wearing size 5 diaper but switching over to 6s as soon as we finish up the 5 boxes. You don't really show much interest in potty training so we really haven't started that. Prob may try after your bday and see if you show interest.
Sleeping. You finally sleep thru the night pretty consistently! It only took 1.5 years.. You like to read books in Landons room then we lay you down with your blankets, stuffed animals and paci.--which we will have to tackle getting rid of but with us finally getting sleep Im not sure how well do that. You don't have it all school and we try to just give it to you at nap and bed and occ in the car esp longer trips.
Youll usually sleep till 630 occ we have had to wake you up or youll sleep till 8 sometimes on the weekends.
You love the water and being in pools which is great bc you were afraid at the beg of the summer. You used to love baths but lately you don't really want to take them.
You recently love minions and when im driving home you say watch minions on tv. Wheels on bus is a big hit on the I pad too or playing elmo abcs game on there tracing letters. You love to paint and color.
You can kinda sing the alphabet and count to 10 or so. You repeat everything and you are so smart. You ll always ask what doing daddy or mommy? You hate if any of us leave the house and freak out and cry and want to go with. Usually takes you a good 10 mins or more to calm down.
Love lawn mowing and want your dad to mow every night. You follow him around with your toy mower.. Landon did this too. You freak out and tell the neighbor Marco he needs to mow too. hahha He finds it hilarious.
You have become a bit pickier when eating, and wont try some things or some nights just don't want it. You def love mac and cheese and hot dogs, peanut butter, yogurt, apple sauce, blueberries, grapes, pasta, cheap hot dog buns we discovered lol. You still don't like to drink much.. we can put a drop of choc milk in milk and youll sometimes drink it. occ cold water with ice. If I have fizzy water you and your brother fight over and youll drink that.
Youre beginning to fight more with Landon.. you ll kick or push each other. Youll usually say no and wave your arm and then spit bubbles out of your mouth. EEK. Otherwise you can be sweet to each other and say Cmon Landon cmon time for bed etc..or youll order him around outside and be like No look for cars or no street!
You love cars, buses, wee oos and construction vehicles--you freak whenever you see any of them.
Ear tubes have been a liver saver youll have had them a year this fall. We have yet to have an ear infection since-knock on wood and that they are still in and haven't fallen out.
You can figure anything out buttons to turn stuff on how to make stuff work and show no fear.
You let yourself out of the house on your own the other night and I about had a heart attack. You went downstairs as I was getting the bath ready and your dad had gone down the basement and I did not know and you opened the door to the garage and walked out to the driveway. When you weren't coming up for your bath I realized you were missing and found you in the driveway crying.. AHHH talk about heart stopping moment.. That door will now need to be dead bolting from now on since you can open doors on your own.
Another reason we will be keeping you in your crib for as long as possible.. I envision escaping and walking around the house at night. AHHHH.
We did let you share a bed with your brother on vacation and you stayed asleep but it took a good two hours and everyone pretending they were sleeping to get you to sit still and go to sleep.. this resulted in us falling asleep two of the nights too.

Life Lately
Well with two kiddos posting is non existent. I figured I should do a long update post.
Brayden- you prob starting walking around 14 months or so.. same time as Landon, which shocked us bc you would pull yourself up on things etc way earlier..however right after you started to walk you began to run. You just fly and love to run around from the living room through the dining room in a circle over and over.
Loving all things animal sounds..love to say what the animals say and love books that make the sound. You love markers and can get the caps off and have drawn on the floor, walls carpet ahhhh. We have to watch you like a hawk.. you will get into everything. You can open doors...pro at going up and down the stairs on your own.
We just ditched your high chair bc you just throw everything on the floor and its such a pain to clean the high chair not to mention the space it takes up.
You are still very demanding and will go and pound on the pantry door or fridge saying more or mama..demanding food...if you dont get what you want you typically throw it across the room and sometimes youll go pick it up and eat it after you realize youre not getting anything else.
You are getting pickier with what you eat or if you just dont want to eat it you wont..throw it etc..still love fruits, yogurt apple sauce..very good at using a spoon and fork on your own.
You are so smart and know where things go--shoes etc..if we tell you to go throw something away in the garbage you will..unless you dont want to you like to shake your head no alot.. Your fav new word is mine or no no!
You love to do whatever your brother is doing and will rip his glasses off his face.
You weigh 28lbs 8 oz.. big boy.. wearing 2t tops mostly some 24 mon.. 18 month pants fit the best or they are too long.
Got rid of all bottles shortly after turning one..we held on to night one a little longer.. You arent much of a drinker in general its hit or miss.
Love bath times and standing up on stool to brush your teeth by yourself. Youll run to stairs when we say bath.
You love your pacis and like to carry them around...we try not to give it to you that much during the day unless you are sick/teething upset.
Still a horrible sleeper. youll nap great sometimes 2-3 hour naps after lunch time. We can just set you down and leave. At night youll take a bath around 7 and get jammies on and read books and lay you down with blankie and paci and well usually sit in there 5 mins and then you are fine if we leave.. lately you have been waking up around 12-1 and are inconsolable..end up sleeping with us which you will usually go right back to sleep..you want to be touching us..
At school they say your favorite time is art time....which explains your love of crayons markers chalk etc.. you also love play dough but sometims youll attempt to eat it.
being in the car youll often scream your head off for over an hour so we try to plan trips around naps so youll sleep. We are going to attemp to take our first plane ride and Im so worried youll scream the whole time.
You also got ear tubes in October.. you had several ear infections and constant fluid in your ears... they said it was effecting your hearing too so we got it done.. you were a pro didnt cry once and were up walking around right when we got home. You havent had an ear infection since!! The restested you ears a month later after the tubes and there was no fluid and improved hearing too. WOOP WOOOP.
We are loving everything you are learning and hoping youll become a better sleeper and stay in your room all night! Wishful thinking im sure haha.
Landon-
You are so smart and have a unbelieveable memory for your age... Youll remember things from books or like what we ate when I was in the hospital and had Brayden. You always amaze us. You can finally write your name we had been trying to get you to for forever.. had no desire. You are loving workbooks cutting paste etc..activity books.
Starting love games, go fish, yeti in spaghetti, yahtzee etc. Its fun. You still love your ipad and we try to limit it but you prob watch way to much on there. You love transformers, swords play fighting etc.. typical boy. Love music and dancing/singing..spanish--how do you say this in spanish and asking the ipad.
You are sooo picky when it comes to eating unless its a hot dog or mac and cheese or plain quesadilla you are soo picky. We have to try and force you to eat or try things or take x amounts of bites. You still love milk/choc milk. Candy. Yogurt cinnamon rolls sauages are faves... each morning you need choc milk and cereal and lately its apple nutri grain bars. You love apples without the wrapper lol. Bananas. You love to help bake..make cookies-frosted ones. lol You refuse to nap for us on the weekends unless we have a huge bribe-parties presents.
You were so into the elf in the shelf and xmas in general..decorating. You werent afraid of Santa and talked his ear off.
We go on little dates to see all the latest kids movies and you just love it..you get a popcorn and root beer and act like its the greatest thing in the world. YOu ask all the time when we are going disney. You cannot wait for your first plane ride to Az.
We have been working on recognizing your lower case letters and numbers more..youve known the capital ones for so long.
You have been going to speech tues and thurs with Ms Haley and seem to enjoy it and weve noticed so much progress. Hoping youll be good for kindergarden and everyone seems to understand you alot more.
You are still an awesome sleeper..we usually have you in bed by 8 at the latest earlier on weekends if you have had no nap. We read you a few books and you go right to sleep on your own. We did have to buy you a clock that turns green to wake up bc you kept waking up at 5am after the time change. You can now usually go downstairs by yourself and watch the ipad till we get up which is so nice.
We recently have let you feed Bella in the mornings as your job and you seem to love it.
