Docs appointment March, 28th

We had our biweekly doctors appointment today and met with one of the doctors for the first time. She was really nice and said everything looked good. She also said that if I were to go into labor today they would not stop anything. EEK! Lets hope that does not happen. The baby was still head down and she said he was moving around but had not dropped down into the pelvic area yet. The heart rate was 150 and she said I was measuring right on track. The person Ive been seeing in the past kept saying I was a week to two weeks ahead so who knows...Im sure its prob the person who is measuring. We got back in two weeks and Ill have the strep b test done and then we'll start to go every week for appointments. EEK!!

34 weeks

34 weeks (Wed, March 27th)

Baby is the size of a butternut squash; (4.2 pounds to 5.8 pounds and measures about 17.2 to 18.7 inches). He is still very active especially at night. I have been feeling pretty good; definitely growing by the day. We finished up all of our birthing classes this past Monday night. We had the big hospital tour. I'm glad to know what to expect know but it did freak me out a little. It made it all so real! haha

33 weeks

33 weeks, Wed, March 20th

Baby is the size of a durian fruit..whatever that is. He weighs about 4.2 to 5.8 pounds and measures about 17.2 to 18.7 inches. And he may grow up to a full inch this week. I am feeling pretty good just really tired at work these days. I have no energy what so ever. My butt also really starts to hurt especially towards the end of the day. I try to get up and walk around as much as I can but it still hurts. I plan to organize the nursery a little more this weekend and relax as much as I can.

First Baby Shower

First Baby Shower (Sat, March 16th)

I had my first baby shower on Saturday with my friends in Rochester. It was a lot of fun and Baby K was truly spoiled. My mom, aunt, cousin Rachel, and Jodie came along too. We had egg bake, fruit, and scones and played a couple of games.

First Biweekly Apt

Docs appointment Thurs, March 14th

We had our first biweekly appointment yesterday. So weird to go every 2 weeks now. Everything looks good, baby is still head down and the heart rate was at 140. My blood pressure was still low and I hadn't gained very much weight in the past two weeks so that is good. No signs of preeclampsia so that is good!! Hopefully it tapers off now for weight gain haha. I am still measuring at about a week ahead (33 to 34 weeks instead of 32 weeks). Next time we start to meet with the different doctors each visit. We will miss our nurse practitioner Amy but I suppose its time to meet who will actually end up delivering. Hopefully they are as nice as her.

We took a breastfeeding class last night at the hospital. It was very good and had a lot of info. I didn't really know much about the process beforehand, but I definitely learned a lot and realize its not an easy process. Hopefully it will work out for me and baby. Super excited for my shower tomorrow:)

32 weeks

32 weeks (Wed, March 13th)

Baby is the size of a squash (2.5 to 3.8 pounds and measures about 15.2 to 16.7 inches). He is still very active and likes to jab me in the ribs. I think Ive felt the feet several times but still haven't seen the actual foot popping out. Still feeling pretty good for the most part. My upper back has been bothering me off and on and has kept me up a couple of nights. I invested in a nice ice pack that seems to help more than the heating pad. I am getting very excited for my first baby shower this weekend with my friends and family. Lets hope the snow stays away so everyone can make it. I treated myself to a pedicure last night just for it:)

31 weeks

31 weeks, Wed March 6th

Baby is now the size of a pineapple (15.2 to 16.7 inches long and weighs about 2.5 to 3.8 pounds). All five senses are suppose to be working now and he is getting bigger by the day.

Feeling pretty good just achy from time to time. We met with another daycare this week but the hours would not work out very well for us with it only being open until 430.

Doc Apt

Doctors appointment, Thursday, Feb 28th

We had our monthly doctors appointment. Everything looks good. We went over my GD and urine results from last time and they were really good. I am measuring a couple weeks ahead at 32 weeks and baby's heartbeat was at about 150. She checked to see the baby's position because you can usually tell at about 30 weeks and baby is head down! This is a good sign he will be that way for delivery. That prob explains the extra pressure and trips to the bathroom the past couple of weeks. I told her about my swollen fingers and she did not seem concerned but told me to watch out for some other warning signs for preeclampsia. EEK! I hope I don't get/have that! We will now start going to the doctor every two weeks now.

We had our newborn care class last night(rescheduled due to last weeks snow storm). It was overall pretty good but it was a lot of information in a short amount of time. I think it would have been better broken up into two sessions. We did get to practice diaper changing and swaddling and learned about different calming methods for babies. Im not sure Ill be using the loud ssshing one. It was just too funny for me. It seemed too loud for babies ears. hehe
