Brayden 3 years old

*You wear 4T shirts and 3T shorts, size 10 shoes.
*You love to eat..daycare says they have to feed you last otherwise you are done before the others get their food and want more lol
*You sleep a lot better finally, you had been sleeping with Landon in his full size bed for a few months (around Feb) but then you kept kicking him etc so wed have to put you in your crib then back to sleep with him...was an exhausting. We eventually caved and bought you bunk beds because you had been begging for them after using them at the Great Wolf lodge waterpark.
*The first few nights were rough keeping you in there but after locking you in there a few nights you finally stayed in there and went to bed. (we had to switch the lock around bc you kept locking yourself in the room ugh).
*You still throw tantrums when you don't get your way and for on and on...we don't give in but you just keep at it. It can be exhausting.
*Fav foods- want mac and cheese for every meal... love fruits, apple sauce, cheese sticks. Sausages are an all time fave for breakfast.
*You want to help cook/bake all the time and pull over a chair. You always want to make pancakes and waffles but then wont eat them.
*You love tractors and Captain America. We bought you a power wheels tractor for your bday and we cant keep you off it. You are so proud of it and ride it to the park etc.
*You love to copy your brother and know all of his fav songs..if you ever hear Old town road or body like a back road you run over to Landon and say Landon Landon.
*You like to watch bus on our phones! Youre great at playing like toddler learning apps too.
*They claim you are the best at using scissors at school.
*You love water and going to the pool and using water guns.
*You love to be read to but you go through phases of wanting the same book every night.
*You're counting, like to sing your abcs and other songs-You are my sunshine etc.
*You love play dough and anything art-painting
*We have to turn things into games like I am going to win at putting on pjs fasted, going upstairs, brushing teeth etc.
*You have been potty trained since around Feb or so..it was extremely easy. You still wear a diaper at night but are dry most times. You still will have an occ accident if you are busy at the park or doing something.
*We are officially paci free! We had it down to just bed time but you were soo hooked. We started throwing away old "broken ones" and were down to just a few. We tried to bribe you to pick out a toy to give up the rest or give them to cousin baby Charlie. Then around May/June we kinda just stopped giving it to you and when youd ask wed distract you and say oh lets go read books..you didn't really put up much of a fusss and eventually you just stopped asking for them. A few times since you have randomly asked for one but we just change the subject.

Brayden 2.5

At 2.5 you are getting so big, and losing all of your baby fat. I feel like you will soon be as tall as Landon. YOu are prob close to his chin already and weigh prob almost as much as him. You are wearing size 3T clothes, you can still fit into some 2T pants. PJs you can wear 4T. You love the zip up fleece ones but not that you are potty training those are harder to deal with. You can wear the same size underwear as Landon size 4. ahhaha

You finally drink a lot more, you like choc milk and water with crushed ice. You are pickier on what you eat you want mac and cheese everytime. You like meats, hot dogs and ring bologna are your favs. You love fruit..raspberries, strawberries, blue berries and grapes. You like to eat cereal- rice krispies/lucky charms with milk in the mornings.

You still can be a horrible sleeper at times. You will go down just fine. Usually by 8pm.. we take a bath, brush teeth and read you a couple of books and lay you down and well sit in the chair for like 5-10 mins then leave. Sometimes you fall asleep other times you don't but don't care that we leave. Youll often wake up between 1-3 screaming Mom, daddy, mommy till we come get you and then we usually just let you sleep with us bc we are too tired to deal with it. ahha You are persistent and don't give in. I am shocked you haven't climbed out of your crib you put your leg up on it like you will but you don't. We still let you have your paci at naps and bed but should really get rid of it. YOu do not have it at school at all. Youll stometimes go up and find one and carry it downstairs and then we ask you to give it to us and you usually are good about it.

We have had issues with you throwing toys, remotes etc.. usually we will have to go put you in time out in your crib bc it does not work to get you to just sit on the stairs. You get up and move around and laugh. You love to wrestle now with Landon and you push each other all around. Im sure its just the beginning. Sometimes Landon is more afraid of you. haha

You still have your ear tubes and you haven't had an ear infection since getting them. Knock on wood. We just had a checkup and they were still in but on the verge of prob falling out soon. I hope not! We will reevaulate this spring. You are actually seeing the doctor who did my tonsil surgery so its funny to see her now with you. She still remembers me vividly lol.

You love art, painting stickers, play dough, doing everything your self. ME DO IT! YOu push a chair across the kitchen to help us cook, bake do dishes you want to do it all and have no fear.

You do not want ot hold my hand leaving school etc you say no mom and push me away..you often take off running away from me which is so fun when its so bitterly cold out and everyone is staring at me like get control of your kid lady!

We started potty training you just a couple of weeks ago. You would not pee or do anything but sit on it and daycare suggested sending you in underwewar.. you would just hold it in or have accidents..then one night after peeing all over BWWS both seat while screaming IM pooping.... LOL I put a cheerio in your little potty and asked if you could pee on the cheerios and you ran over sat down and peed on them and said I did it! We gave you a dum dum sucker like we did for Landon..no clue why you both love suckers so much and every since you have been doing so good. You went at school the next day and for the next week you were having very few accidents--mostly poop which you would run and hide and poop with your underwear on.. Landon was this was too.. then this pasta weekend you pooped on your potty several times and even on the big potty. We went out to eat and other things and no accidents! You even are waking up dry at nap but we are still putting on a diaper to be safe. It seems to be too good to be true that this has been so easy for you. It took so long with Landon. I guess you are making up for the no sleeping and my way highway attitude of yours. haha

You hate getting your hair cut and scream every time and move all around..

Landon- Kindergarten update 2-11

We are about half way through kindergarten. EEK. You have been riding the bus to and from school every day and it has gone quite well. You get on the bus around 8:40 am (school starts so late here after 915) and get dropped off around 3:50ish. Lee works from home so he can run you out to the bus and grab you at the end of the day, which saves us money and hassel of dropping/picking up to before and after school care at the school.

You have around 20 kids in your room and it is a very diverse class. One of the first weeks of school you came home and told us you weren't cool because you don't speak two languages. lol I think its very cool to be exposed to such diversity at a young age; different customs/cultures etc. You went into school not knowing how to read and with minimal writing skills. You now are writing all your letters, sounding out how to spell things and continuing to move up level by level in reading. You don't always want to read each night but you are good at it. You are a little too good at memorizing things! Sometimes you don't want to sound out words or will guess but if we tell you to sound them out you are very good at it.

You have gotten in trouble a couple of times at school, which just shocks me because you are so shy and unsure of new things. At the 1/2 day intro day you cried when we left you. IT was so hard.. I had to leave the room before I started bawling. Luckily the first day you were just fine and very excited. You got in trouble one day for going to fight (kick) because a boy asked you to go play with him. In music one day at the end you yelled out "Yay we get to do nothing now!" ugh. You like to be the funny man. Your teacher said you were falling for doing things kids would tell you to do but soon realized you'd get in trouble too. AHHH.

You talk about your girlfriends. Katerina from Russia and how you sang a girl your best song on the bus "Body like a backroad." Lord help me! You def like your girls.

You have been taking swim class and doing very well and moving up in the levels. We tried a two week intro to karate and you cried and were scared each time:( I think you really actually liked it and were learning things but the big class atmosphere was making you nervous. I hope you can overcome this fear/anxiety. You like to do the moves you learned at the class at home. Brayden tries to copy you.
