Weekly Doc Apt

Doctors appointment (April 18th)

We had our weekly doctors appointment yesterday. I went up to check in and they claimed they did not have me down for an appointment! AHH! Who knows what happened. That was def the time they had given me. They were able to fit me in but it was a very fast appointment. We met with another new doctor and he measured me and said I was right on and then listened to the heartbeat and was like everything looks good see you in a week! Ok thanks! I was also told I passed my strep b test from the week before so we dont have to worry about that during delivery which is good!

Matt and Jodie had their baby last night (4/18) at 11:04pm.. He is quite the chunk; weighing in at 9 lbs 5 oz, 20 3/4 inches long. He was born a little over a week early...very quickly and during a snow storm. hehe. I hope we can go meet him tonight! He looks like Ava:)

37 weeks

37 weeks, April 17th

Baby is now considered full term and the size of a winter melon. He likely measures around 18.9 to 20.9 inches and weighs about 6.2 to 9.2 pounds. He's gaining about 1/2 ounce each day. I am still feeling pretty good for the most part. Just get tired and achy. I am waking up a lot more to go to the bathroom and sometimes I just cant fall back to sleep. He is still very active and has less space to move around. The past week I have just been so hungry all the time; especially around lunch time. I haven't felt like this the entire time until now. He must being having a growth spurt.

My coworkers threw me a little shower on Tuesday at work. We went to Whistle Binkies for lunch and then came back for punch, games, cupcakes and gifts. They got me a baby bjorn carrier, bath toy scoop/holder, lullaby music maker, leap frog puppy dog, and a book. I cant wait to use all of it. We played a price is right game, guessing the types of baby food and then they guessed the size of my stomach by cutting ribbons. They also filled out cute cards guessing the date, time, weight, length, number of kids and dates as well. Too cute!!

We plan to finish up the nursery this weekend, finalize the hospital bags and make a huge shopping trip to Target to buy last minute items off our registry. Hopefully we'll be all ready after that!

36 doc apt

Doctors appointment (April 11th)

We had our 36 week doctors appointment. I'm still measuring on track and baby's heartbeat sounded good. (she didn't tell us the heart rate) He kept kicking during it. haha He must not like being listened to. I had the strep B swab that they do at 36 weeks so she did my first internal check to see if I had made any progress. Nope nothing!! No dilation yet which is fine with me. He needs to stay put for at least another couple of weeks. I also had to get another tdap shot which I was surprised about. Apparently they want pregnant women to get one now so the baby can build up some antibodies. I will go back next week again for my weekly appointments.

36 weeks

36 weeks (Wed, April 10th)

Baby is now the size of a honeydew (weighing approximately 6 pds; 17.2- to 18.7-inches long. Still feeling pretty good for the most part. The bump is definitely growing each day. I have been feeling a little bit more pressure when walking so maybe that means he has dropped down some. We have a doctors appointment today so maybe we'll find out. I hope to get some organizing done in the nursery this weekend after last weekends shower.

Second Shower

Second Baby Shower in Wisconsin

I had my second baby shower in Wisconsin this past Saturday with both sides of Lee's family (Kraemers/Ballwegs). It was in Sauk City at a center place. We played a candy bar association game, dirty diaper game, Right/Left baby game, and then a cute baby survival kit story done by Lee's mom. We got a lot of nice things for the baby. I think we now have over 50+ bibs haha!

35 weeks

35 weeks/ 35 days to go (Wed, April 3rd)

Baby is now the size of a coconut. He's about 17.2 to 18.7 inches. From here on out, he won't get much longer, but he's plumping up. He's now about 4.2 to 5.8 pounds, and he'll put on a pound or more of baby fat before birth. He is still very active and likes to hang out on my right side by my ribs. Feeling pretty good for the most part, occasional aches and pains. Heartburn is pretty much an everyday thing now; I have to take medicine to help control it. I've been avoiding spicy foods which I love but it still happens daily.

We finally have daycare booked after looking since November!!! We signed a contract and should be good to go. Such a relief!! I was so sick of calling people and not getting my calls returned. I also booked a newborn photographer in Waseca as well. Cant wait! Its crazy you have to book all of this so far in advance.

I have my shower in Wisconsin on Saturday!! Cant wait:)

Easter

Happy Easter

Saturday night we went over to my Aunt Lynn and Uncle Dave's house to hang out with the family. We had an Easter egg hunt for the two girls and later on the adults played some games. It was fun to see the girls play together. Its crazy to think the next time we get together there will two little boys as well!
