A Dragon Kind of Halloween

We dressed you up as a dragon for Halloween. I was a tad worried you would not be a fan and rip the thing off your head but you did wonderful. You loved walking all around in your costume. I took you out around the neighborhood for a half hour while dada passed out candy. You weren't too sure but you liked staring into everyone's houses. You also learned how to say the word Happy be the end of it from everyone saying Happy Halloween. So cute!! Everyone said you were the cutest dragon ever. After a half hour we stopped back at home and warmed up for a while and then dada took you out for another half hour. When you got back you wanted to open and eat all your candy. You had a kit kat, smartie pack and a milk dud--that you opened yourself somehow..I was worried youd choke on that one but you didnt. hahah

You also liked to dump out all of our candy bowl for the trick or treaters and would get mad when wed take it away from you. You got to stay up late till around 8 and didnt want to go to bed. You also would run to the door every time trick or treaters would come and then youd stare at them. Usually when they d leave you'd say hi and wave. hahah

18 months- Oct 24th

You are mr go go go! Into everything and non stop go go go!!

*25lbs 3 oz(65.20 %), 31.75 inches long (27.44%)
*Wearing size 5 diaper
*Mostly moved into 24 month clothes and pj's. Sometimes you still wear 18 month size pants because the 24 month ones are soo long on you.
*You are finally getting a little taller and legs leaner
*You like to say da da da!! over and over and wont say anything else when you get to saying it
*Getting better eating with a fork
*Love nanas..when you see it you want one
*Love pots and pans and carrying them all out to the living room, one night you brought out a frying pan and spun yourself in circles and laughed
*Carved your first pumpkin--we did one last year for you but you didnt know
*Going to be a dragon/dino for Halloween
*Love to help, with laundry putting the stuff in the washer and dryer..pulling out all the clothes. Like to help take stuff out of the dishwasher
* Love to say Up up up over and over and then get down just to get up again
*Like to sit on counter and help make supper, bake cookies etc you want to see what is going on
*You understand so much you'll go get your coat and shoes for outside, go to stairs when we say its bath time
*Still go to bed without a peep usually around 730 or so, a couple weekends you've slept till 8 which was amazing otherwise its usually around 630-645
*On days where you sleep till 8 weve been having you nap just after lunch one time and that seems to go well for you
*Loved the apple orchard
*Words you say, up, mama, dada, uh oh, shake head yes for yes more, e yay e yay oh, wee wee, nana, da for diaper...hi
*Like to wave over and over and say hi
*Climb slide backwards, stand on slide, go down by your self and clap
*Love to bring us books to read to you
*Like to climb all over the couch and onto anything you can find

First real hair cut- Aug 9th

I finally caved and we took you to get your first real hair cut! I had only trimmed your bangs once to keep them out of your eyes. We took you to the barber shop where da da gets his hair cut. I admit I was very nervous and did not want to cut off your sweet curls. I told the girl I didnt want it super short or buzzed. haha

Overall I was pretty happy with it but it does make you look like such a little man now. What happened to my little baby!?!?!? The back was a little shorter than I wanted but I had to tell myself its only hair and it will grow back!

You overall did pretty good and we had you sit on da das lap and then I found a sucker they had there to entertain you as well. You also held on to two blocks that they had there.

First Mini Family Vacation

We finally went away for a couple of days with you for the first time. We got a hotel room up in the cities for a couple of nights to get away. We stopped and visited new baby Thomas on our way up. He was so tiny and cute. You just pointed and stared at him. We then got you your first happy meal at McD's before hitting up the zoo. You had fries, chicken nuggets and the apples were your fav. We then headed to Apple Valley to the MN Zoo. IT had been quite awhile since I had been there. THe place is huge.

You loved looking at the animals and wanted to get up to the glass to see everything. We managed to see pretty much everything but the bug exhibit. We were going to attempt it but it was getting hot and you hadnt had an afternoon nap. We saw a cheetah up close, monkeys, bears, fish ( you loved), farm animals.

The cutest part was when you were up on the glass and a huge grizzly bear swam up to the window and put his face right up to yours and most kids would be scared but you put your fists up and yelled "RAWR" it was sooo cute!! I wish I would have gotten it on video.

We went and checked into the hotel and dropped our stuff and then headed to Chilis for dinner. After we went and swam in the hotel pool and we tried out your blow up floaty toy. You loved it! We then gave you a bath and tried to get you to sleep..you just screamed and screamed you were overtired and didn't know where you were. I eventually got you to bed and then we hung outside our room on the patio so we wouldn't wake you. You woke up both nights screaming around 3 am or so so we let you sleep with us. I think you woke up and didnt know where you were.

The next morning we had breakfast at the hotel and then headed to a local splash pad. You loved all the water everywhere and didnt mind when it would get all over you. You would walk and then go head first into the water lol. You went down the little slide a few times, once ending up head first but you didn't care. You slipped once and got a fat lip but you were ok after a bit. You only lasted an hour or so and then you got tired and had had enough. I think you were a tad too little but you still loved it. There were some bigger slides but they wouldn't allow adults to go down them so we couldn't take you down them.

We picked up some subs and had a hotel floor picnic and then got you to take a longer nap which was much needed. We then headed to MOA and walked around and did some shopping. I did some damage at Carters..for stuff for you for the fall. We then ate at Bubba Gump Shrimp and then headed back to the hotel for more swimming. A little 5 year old girl loved you and followed you around. We got you to bed and had ice cream and wine on our patio. In the morning we packed up and searched for somewhere for breakfast.. We couldnt find anything but McDonalds which we didnt want so we just kept driving. We stopped at a Country Kitchen in Cannon Falls that was just ok. Then we made it home and you were excited to have all your toys to play with and your own bed to sleep in.

15 month doc visit

You weight 24 lbs 11 oz, height 30.5 inches (we still cant believe how short you are..but you'll eventually get tall Im sure)

She said he looked great, she had him walk for her since at 12 months he wasnt walking yet
He got one shot-the 4th one of a series cant remember which one
She asked what words he was saying and if he could point where anything was..he can his nose, ears and mouth.. also asked if he seems to hear and see well..
She asked about his sleeping and if he was walking, climbing on things etc.
She said he needs 16-20 oz of whole milk per day..this was my one question I had for her so we are on track..also asked if we were done with bottles and we are so on track.

Only issue was she thinks he has eczema--he had looked like he had a heat rash or something on is back the past week.. but she says its this.prob due to us bathing daily now that he gets so sweaty outside she rec luke warm baths with no soap and to pat him dry and lather him in vanicream right after..also to do lotion in the morning too to clear up. This does not surprise me bc I kind of have it too. Hopefully it will get better. It doesnt seem to bother him. NExt appt not till 18 months. Lets hope he stays healthy till then.

15 months- July 24th

You are getting to be more of a toddler each day.

*Love to mimic, copy us.. Guess we better start watching what we say
*Love to be outside--you can open up the deck door yourself and have let yourself and Bella out
*Love to play with wood chips/dirt and put it in your mouth
*Throw tantrums when we take you away from something or say no
*Love to open cabinets/drawers and throw everything out
*Love to knock all your books over
*Like to climb your slide and stairs
*Love to play monster, El Monstro and say Rawr
*Walking more and more.. you can walk across room to room...you have to want to do it though you get very stubborn if we ask you to
*Love milk, eating..love watermelon
*Size 5 diaper, 18 month clothes, we ve starting some 24 month pjs
*Loved first time at the pool..loved the water splashing on you. Love sprinkler and will walk towards it with hand out
*Can show us where nose, ears and mouth is most of the time.
* I caved and cut your bangs that were getting in your eyes but refuse to cut the back
* 4 teeth on top and 3 on bottom along with a molar on bottom back that is slowly coming in...it has caused you a lot of pain
*Hate diaper changes and clothes changes you scream and roll around and try and get away
*Love baths but stand up a lot and we tell you to sit down
* Went to first fair and you loved the animals and the carousel.
* Want to drink out of our bottles and cups/glasses..youll stick your whole mouth around it
* We have just dropped milk before bedtime.. you started to only drink a little or not want it at all so we figured it was a good time, next up some cups that dont have the bottle type spout...
* Milk at breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner...Im going to ask the amt you should have at your apt next week..you seem to drink a lot of milk and want more a lot. hehehe
* You like to try and feed us or give us your milk, if we ask you to give us something you usually will
*Have taken you to the park more and you love the swing and slides..youd honestly rather just pick at the wood chips all day if we let you
* You help mama water her flowers and want to be outside 24/7

Walking Machine

The past few days you have been walking more and more..still the usual 5 steps or so and then you face plant or fall on your butt.. you had been doing this before but youd do it and then not do it for weeks...now you will over and over and if we put you on your feet somewhere random youll usually walk a few steps.. You even walked across the deck in your water shoes. Too cute! Im sure youll be running in no time... one night you did run and then face planted.

14 months- June 24th

You are 14 months old today and turning more and more into a little toddler.

-Wearing a size 5 diaper (they are a little big but at night you were leaking through the overnight 4s)
-Wearing 18month clothes still...making our way through all your summer clothes..you had so many from bday gifts
-You may be able to go up a size in pjs..the 18 month ones are getting snug.
-Love to eat everything..watermelon is a new fav, grilled veggies fruits you name it
-Still having whole milk in you sippy cup ( breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner and before bed all 5 oz) some water here and there too
-love baths and throwing all your toys out of the tub and standing up and trying to climb out
-Love pulling books off the shelve, things out of cupboards and baskets over and over
-Push your car around and say beep beep its so cute..you run behind the thing and can push it around one handed
-You say me me me when you want something food--or more
-You like putting balls into your firetruck and dumping them out
-Throwing clothes out of the basket over and over
-Climbing up your slide and up the stairs..you go as fast as you can
-Love us chasing after you and you fake scream and giggle.you like attacking us too
-Love being outside, swinging walks in your stroller
-dont like being told no..you have had little tantrums
-Like being read to and turning the pages
-Like to throw your food on the floor or spit it out when you are getting full..rock back and forth in your high chair and get mad when we tell you to stop
- You take a couple of steps here and there but that's about it, if we try and make you walk to us you usually get mad and fall to your knees and run away
-do not like diaper changes or sitting still you get so mad.
-dont like getting your pic taken you wont sit still
-Have 4 teeth on top and three on bottom, another one in the bottom looks to be coming through
-Like playing in your pool and water table--you like to take apart the water table and dump out all the toys
-Like pulling on mamas flowers and helping her water them
-Like picking up dirt and rocks and trying to put them in your mouth
-Will walk to your high chair and make a chewing smacking sound with your mouth--Im hungry!!
-You still say mama and dada alot, ba ba for bella
-You can point to your nose when we say wheres your nose..sometimes youll do your ears too
-Love to clap and you will if you see people do it on tv
-Like doing so big
-Finally waving more and more and love to do it to people out in public--still stare and flirt with strangers too
-You got pink eye for the first time and it was awful..dada was gone in CA too and you hated getting the drops
-Tons more blonde curls in the back and I refuse to cut them, dada is on my case everyday about this

Ladd and Lucys Wedding- Weekend with Gma and Gpa K

We went up to International Falls/Rainy Lake for my cousin Ladd's wedding. You stayed home with Grandma and Grandpa K at our house. It was your first weekend away from us with them. Ill admit I was a little nervous about leaving you for the weekend but once we got up north and starting doing things I was fine and you were too. We took a pontoon boat ride and stopped for drinks and hung out at Uncle Dave and Aunt Lynns cabin.

Everything was under water up there from all the rain. People were sandbagging their docks(they were completely under water) it was so sad..some people had sandbags around their houses/cabins to save their houses.

The wedding was a lot of fun and all outdoors. They got married on a golf course green and the ground was still squishy and wet. We still had fun and they had a big tent for the dinner and dance.

We headed home early Sunday morning to get back to you. You had a lot of fun with gma and gpa, shopping, walking around downtown, etc.

Fathers Day- June 15th

On Fathers day we made breakfast for da da and got him a card and a gift card for a massage. (he has been wanting back massages all the time). It was kinda a rainy weekend so when the sun came out in the afternoon we threw the stroller in the drunk and headed to Byron to check out OxBo Park. Its a small zoo with farm animals and other animals such as bears, foxes, porcupines, buffalo. It was the first zoo you had been too..You kind of just looked around and stared. I dont think you really got it but it was fun to take you there and walk around.

After we stopped at a park by our house and pushed you in the swing..you loved it! We also went down a couple of slides and then headed home. We grilled out on the deck.

Pretty perfect Sunday if you ask me!

First Step-Sat May 24th

You took your first step on Sat, May 24th.. You were standing up and I put my arms out and you took a step towards me you got so excited that you then fell down to your arms.. haha You of course havent done it since. Im sure it wont be long!

Standing

You are standing on your own all the time now. Most of the time you dont even realize you are doing it..youll be standing next to something and youll let go. Youll push your car from one hand to the next. Sometimes youll stand and then just shake or dance and clap your hands.

13 months- May 24th

I decided to continue on with the monthly posts to compare what you are doing each month.

-Still wearing 18 month clothes, finally able to bust out all of your cute summer clothes!! You wore your first swimsuit and water shoes yesterday
-Still wearing a size 4 diaper, although daycare wanted size 5...I think they are too big.
-Still go to bed around 7 or so and take a morning and afternoon nap.
-All the soft spout sippy cups.. all WCM no more formula.. just need to get better about getting away from the right before bed milk.
-3 teeth on bottom, 1 fang on top... more teeth across the whole top are popping through
-Standing on your own all the time
-Took your first step on Saturday! You wont do it anymore though.
-You kind of wave and sort of say hi.
-Still love to eat..only feeding yourself.
-Played outside/ate dirt for the first time haha
-Played with water table for hte first time..you liked to take it a part mostly and dump all the toys out.
-Well say wheres your nose and youll point.
-Still have the blonde curls..your hair is getting a little long in the front but I dont want to cut it!
-You are such a chatter box...making little sounds
-Still love to push stuff around the house
-Love opening drawers and pulling everything out...cabinets too. You get mad when we say no.
-Loving your slide..you can climb to the top but dont really get how to get both feet down so you can slide down..youll sit up on your knees.
-Love to clap your hands when you hear/see people you do it.

Bear Walking

The past couple of nights you have been walking on your hands and feet with your butt in the air...haha I guess its called Bear Walking. It is too funny. I wonder if it means you are getting close to walking.


When you push your toys around you are getting so fast..almost like you are running and you have gotten good and turning them around corners to get around things.

Second Mothers Day

Its hard to believe we celebrated my second mothers day yesterday. Where does the time go? Last year at this time, I was a brand new mommy.

We spent the day by Lee making us breakfast and I got a cute watering can full of flowers and a card from Landon. tee hee.

We then drove over to Waseca and hung out with Grandma Ann and Grandpa Miguel. Lee took down her old shutters on her house and put up some new ones. We had lunch and red velvet cake with homemade cream cheese frosting that I had made.

We then came home and finished putting together our patio set and played out on the deck.

A Chunkey Monkey 1st Bday

Because we call you chunkey monkey, we had that as our theme for your 1st bday party. I took Thurs and Fri off to help prep for the party. I made 4 cakes complete with homemade frosting. (I had to test ones to see if I could complete my mission) lol. They all turned out. I made a monkey cake and a giant cupcake( I borrowed the mold from a friend).

We had the party on Sat at 11 so you napped before and after all the fun you were able to nap again. It worked out pretty well and you never melted down.

Grandpa and Grandma K, Ross and Sarah came up from WI. Grandma Ann and Gpa Miguel came and Matt, Jodie, Ava and Cam. It was quite the chaos with three kiddos running all over! hehehe

You got a lot of clothes, play slide, race track/cars, puzzle, puppet, books, and a water table. We bought you a car that we can push you behind for outside.

We had lunch, cake and icecream and opened gifts. It was kind of chilly/windy out so we had to remain indoors but we still had a great time. You are one very spoiled little boy!

Happy 1st Bday!

Dear Sweet Landon Jayce,
I cant believe that you are a year old already! It seems like just like yesterday when I held you in my arms for the very first time! Everyone tells you how fast the first year goes by and oh my goodness they are not lying. You have brought so much joy to us this past year. Although time flies by and many days I often feel tired and that there is not enough time in the day, I would not trade it for anything. Your sweet smile can make me so happy inside instantly. It is so fun to watch you learn new things everyday. You are always so happy and easy going! We could not have asked for a better son! We are so excited to watch you grow in the many years to come!


*Stats: Weigh 22 lbs 8 oz, 30 inches long
*Still wearing 18 month clothes, the pants are still a little long. You got several new summer outfits that I cant wait for you to wear!
*Wearing size 4 diaper.
*Getting two more teeth in this past week(the one to the left of your bottom teeth) and top you are getting the one on the right side(fang, which is very weird. Its usually the two top teeth.
*Still just walking behind everything and pushing things around, crusing around furniture. You love to push your toy car thing all over the house and your high chair too.
*Still say mama and dada and baba to bella. You love to clap.
*Starting to drink some Whole Cows milk with formula. (we are no longer using bottles)-just the ones with a spout type nipple. We are only giving you the milk (5 oz) but typically youll only drink 2-3 oz...breakfast, lunch, snack(around 3pm) water at dinner and then a 8 oz before bed. Ive been told we need to give you some water after or brush your teeth to get the milk off of your teeth before bed.
*Eating foods like a champ, pickles and raspberries seem to be your fav
*We think you are allergic to strawberries..we gave you a food pouch that had strawberries in it and you broke out in some hives. We gave you benedryl and you were fine. We are just avoiding them for now but want to do a test where we tape a strawberry on your back to see if there is a reaction(rec by the pediatrician)
*Llama llama books are still your fav
*Got you your first real shoes (stride rites) Still not sure about them but you cant kick them off
*First sunglasses--you love to pull them off
*Pulling yourself up on everything esp at bath time..you dont want to sit down.
*Hate having your nose wiped and diaper changes you do not want to sit still.
*Youve started scrunching up your nose and almost doing this snorting type nose when you are determined to do something.
* Still going to bed around 7-730 usually nap around 9 and 1-2.. Naps are going a little better youll usually sleep 1-1.5 hours. You still wake up around 640-7ish.
*Cant seem to kick your ear infection.. You are now on a third antibiotic for one.. we thought it was going away but at your 1 year apt she thought it was on its way back..which would explain your fever and waking up the past few nights.

On your bday. Daycare had a party for you complete with choc milk and brownies. Theresa gave you a book too. You are too spoiled. We had pizza at home and then we took you to cherry berry for the first time to try frozen yogurt. I stuck with just vanilla and chocolate due to your unknown allergies. The first bite the cold startled you but after you were grabbing for the spoon for more. After 5 bites or so you were done with it though. Too cute!!

Heres a picture of a walk we took the other night. You are wearing your first pair of sunglasses. They lasted all of 5 seconds on your head before you pulled them off and started chewing them lol.

Baby's First Easter/Cam's 1st Bday

We celebrated both Cam's 1st bday and Easter up at Matt and Jodie's since it was all the same weekend. We went up early Saturday and met Grandma Ann and Grandpa Miguel at the Albertville outlet mall since Matt and Jodie live an exit away. We had lunch and shopped at Oshkosh, Stride Rite and Carters. I picked up a few things for Landon as well as my mom. Oh my gosh I have to say if I lived so close to this mall I would be broke. So many cute things and for cheap!

The party started at 2 so we then headed over to the party. There were about 25 people there and lots of other kiddos. Landon did great moving around and playing with all of Cam and Avas toys. He didnt seem to be afraid of all the people which was good.

Cam's party was "Time Flies" theme, is nursery is plane themed so it was a good fit. We had cake and snacks and sang happy bday to Cameron. He was kind of in a daze from all the people and people snapping photos but he did well. His cousin Rowan helped him open up his presents.


Later after everyone left, we hung out and ordered pizza and dyed Easter eggs with Ava.


On Easter Sunday it was so gorgeous out, sunny and in the 70s. The kids woke up and found their Easter baskets and Ava hunted for the eggs we hid inside and out.

We went on a walk to the park and played. It was the first trip to a park for Landon. He loved the baby swing and laughed at his cousin Ava swinging high next to him. He also liked being on the playground bridge. He was very happy and smiley the whole weekend. People kept asking, "Does he ever get crabby?"



We went back to their house and grilled out steaks for a late lunch and then headed home. Landon was exhausted and slept the whole way home.

Rice Cereal Aug 24th(4 months) Took a week or so to get used to it and then could not get enough of it. Worked our way up to 2 TBSP.

Peas Sept 22nd Gave you one bite alone and you spit it out and made a face, mixed some with cereal and then you ate it.

Oatmeal w banana Cereal Sept 26th Loved it! Gobbled it all down!

Green Beans Sept 29th Seemed to really like them. We just mixed them with rice cereal.

Yellow Squash Oct 3 Would eat it by itself, seemed to like it.

Acorn Squash Oct 7th Favorite to date! You gobbled down one cube and screamed for more and we gave you another to eat.

Climbed up the stairs/Walker

On Friday night, you climbed up the entire stairs. I was behind you in case you'd fall. Sometimes you'd stop after a couple and then fall. haha. You were so excited!!

You also have been walking behind your walking toy by yourself across the living room. You go so fast its almost like you are trying to run. You are getting so fast and mobile now. We may have to put up our baby gates.

Allergic to Amoxicillian

Just as I had feared you are allergic to amoxicillian just like your dad. UGH. This is why I insisted on something else to begin with but they were like nope hell be just fine. blah blah. Well a week after you broke out in a rash. I called the nurse hotline and they said oh hes fine, its just a rash caused by the med its not harmful and hes not allergic, keep giving it to him. In the morning it was so bad that it was huge red blotches everywhere. I brought you to urgent care and they said yep you're allergic. Thanks nurses hotline! You still had the ear infection so now were on a new one. Lets hope this one works.

Poor baby!

Pulling yourself up/Standing

This past weekend you have been pulling yourself up onto everything over and over! You had done it once or twice a day in the past couple of weeks. You pulled yourself up onto the fireplace..even though we tell you know. You also pulled yourself up onto the foot rest and were moving side to side and then also grabbed onto your walker toy. You also were walking behind your walker toy by yourself.

Poor Baby- Cant catch a break:(

You poor thing you, you have had an awful last couple of weeks. You had not been sleeping well since the whole ER visit and we thought maybe you were just scared or getting used to us checking on you. We tried and did the whole cry it out thing and tried to check on you so much.

Sunday evening you started to come down with a low fever so we gave you some Tylenol and put you to bed. You woke up several times with just a little whine/cry but would go back to sleep. Monday morning you had a higher fever 101-102 range so da da stayed home with you and continued the Tylenol. You were a little fussy but still managed to play on your own etc.
Monday evening you didn't drink your bottle and before bed when I was giving you Tylenol you threw up all over me. Not a great first!

Tuesday you woke up and your fever was back to 102 and you were just not your self. You didnt want to eat much or play or do anything. I decided to call and get you an appointment just to be sure. I brought you in and he took a look at both ears and says yep you have a raging ear infection in both ears:( Poor thing! I felt awful thinking I should have brought you in sooner but there have been so many times where I have and its nothing.

Today after one day of antibiotics you seem happier. You still arent eating much. You also threw up 10 mins after having the med when eating breakfast:( I debated giving you more of the med but maybe we will at lunch. I may try mixing it in with food or something so you wont gag so much.

Lets hope Spring brings us sunshine and a happy bday.

I guess you made it 11 months without an ear infection or any kind of antibiotics.

Eleven Months old- March 24th

-You weigh 23 pds and are 29 inches long (I know this from being at the ER/Doc) You can def tell you've gotten taller.
-First trip to ER; severe allergic reaction:(
-Still wearing 18 month clothes; you have def thinned out some and gotten longer.
-Still wear size 4 diaper, they arent as snug around the waist anymore.
-With time change sometimes stay up till 730ish and sleep till 6-7
-Act like youre teething but no more teeth have popped up still just have the bottom two.
-Mastered crawling and getting around so much faster, which means getting into things.
-Figured out how to open up drawers.
-Still love power cords, Bella and her tail, trying to pull down your baby monitor/vase in living room, pulling wine bottles of the wine rack. Also love our phones and the remotes.
-Love Llama llama books, youll close other ones well read to you sometimes.
-Love to clap your hands.
-Love to move your hand across your mouth to make sounds.
-Love to feed yourself, well put food on spoon/fork and you have actually bit off of it vs pulling the food off and putting it in your mouth.
-Still hate wearing shoes you kick them off and pull your socks off.
-Well do so big and you'll just laugh at us.
-Doing all the sippy cup type bottles except for a normal bottle before bed.
-Taking big boy baths- you wont sit still, try and pull yourself up out of the tub or crawl around and grab the faucet.
-Trying so hard to pull yourself up on things, you get up on both knees and usually stand on one foot but not the other. You have pulled yourself up a few times in the past week.
-Starting to actually move your feet when we try and hold your hands and walk with you.
-Like to walk behind your walker with us or up on your knees around the house.
-Hate diaper changes and getting pjs on you'll squirm, take off naked, kick etc.
-Hair is getting longer and you can def see the curls come through.
-Still say mama and dada a lot and ba ba for bella. It sometimes sounds like you say hi.
-Still wont really wave, weve started to blow kisses to you and you just laugh.
-Love to shop/go out to eat and stare at people.
-Very noisy eater and bounce all over.

First and hopefully last trip to the ER- Sat, March 15th

On Saturday night we had to rush you to the ER. I have never been so scared/terrified in my entire life. You have broken out in random hives since back in October around the time of getting all your shots. We didn't really know for sure what was causing them but eventually you just stopped getting them. We tried different things like changing your type of diaper, the temp in your room etc.

A couple weeks ago you randomly had the hives again. They typically would show up after a nap or sleeping and mostly on your face in blotches, occasionally a few random spots on your arms or diaper area. One day you had a fever and you had them all over. They always would just go away after a few hours.

On Saturday after your afternoon nap, you woke up with some red blotches on your face. We gave you some Benadryl just to be safe and within an hour or so they were all gone and you were always happy and playing.
We went out to eat at Mr Pizza and gave you some pieces of our pizza, mostly sauce/meat, some cheese bread. Nothing you haven't had before, also an applesauce pouch. We went home and you played for an hour or so before bed and you were fine. No spots or anything.

We decided to carry in our treadmill that we had purchased and we began putting it together in the basement. Around 845 or so you started to cry. Sometimes you will for like a minute and youll stop so I waited and then you didnt stop so I decided to run up and check on you. Your room is really dark and you ten to sleep on your belly so I just patted your back and you calmed down for a minute or so and then all of a sudden you were screaming. I picked you up and brought you to your rocking chair and rocked you..then you kind of looked up at me and your eyes looked a little weird to me. I thought maybe I was imagining it and then I turned the light on and your face was so swollen you could barely see your eyes along with all red. I screamed for Lee and rushed you downstairs. I was so freaked out. He yelled for me to call 911 so I did but then after thinking about it we thought we could prob get you to the hospital faster. I was shaking so bad, I managed to give you a dose of benadryl and off we went. I sat in the back with you and kept tapping you and talking to you. I was so scared you would stop breathing. You'd occasionally cough so that was reassuring. We rushed you into the ER and they took us right back. They put you up to a monitor to detect your breathing and the doctor rushed right in. They ended up giving you another shot of benadryl along with the epi shot. We then sat there with you for a few hours to see if the swelling would go down. It slowly did. They also later gave you some steriods by mouth mixed with choc syrup. You liked that. You started to look a little better but still puffy esp around the eyes. We were then told we could go home and to follow up with your pediatrician.

For the first time since we brought you home there was no way I was letting you sleep alone in your room. You slept in your pack and play next to our bed. I of course was not able to fall asleep at all and kept checking on you. IN the morning you looked so much better, just a little puffy under your eyes and occasional blotchy skin. Later that night your face got a little red again so we gave you some benadryl before bed just in case.

We kept going in every hour with our phone(flashlight) to check on you and make sure you werent turning red or swelling up. I was able to sleep a little but woke up a few random times to check on you. On Monday, you seemed back to normal.

We brought you to an allergy doc on Monday and they are running a bunch of blood tests for food allergies, pets etc to see if anything comes up. They arent 100% accurate but we still wanted to run them to see. We also were given epi pens for at home and daycare. I hope we never have to use them. I just hope we can get to the bottom of this. We have no idea what is causing this. We are so careful and wash all of your stuff separably with baby detergent. We have not given you any new foods etc.

I am so nervous to give you anything to eat now. I just want to figure this out. I hope these tests give us some answers or at least give us the peace of mind that its not a certain food causing it.

Grandma swears its our cat Bella. I sure hope not. The doctor said most likely not because you would get like this all the time with being around her.

I am still just sick to my stomach and worry about you all the time. I just want to get this figured out so we never have to go through this again. Poor sweet baby!!!
