--There is no longer a one month appointment so we dont know how much you weighed.. At your appointment a few days old you were up to 7lb 14oz and the following monday when I met with lactation you were back up to 8lbs 5 oz or so..so almost to birth weight..you are getting bigger and bigger so we figure you are just fine and didnt bring you in to be weighed.
--Sleeps in crib in room with cotton fleece sleep sack with arms in. The first few nights you slept in our room in the rock and play..you were up all the time to eat..you are a very noisy sleeper so it works better to have you sleep in your own room for all of us.. we also run the humidifier and the sound machine like we did with Landon too. We typically feed you bt 7-8 and you go down around 8 for the most part..sometimes youll fuss and well have to rock you one more time until you are down for the night. You typically wake up twice a night around 1-2 and 4 and 5..you wake up dad changes your diaper and I feed you put you pack in your sleep sack and you go back to sleep. You've went one night with only one wake up.
--Very noisy sleeper...sometimes Ill wake up to feed you but you arent really awake..just grunting.
--Eats around every 2 hours per day sometimes only 1 hour..you like to eat and eat..well sometimes give you a bottle of pumped milk during the day and before bed too...not a whole lot of freezing milk around here. Piglet likes to eat.
--Went to size one diaper at a few weeks old..tried to finish up all our newborn diapers but you were just busting out of them. Wore newborn clothes but went to 3 month clothes pretty quickly..wearing alot of Landons stuff along with new things we've gotten from people.
--Eats around 4 ounces from a bottle even though he often seems to want more when done.
--Very fussy, cat napper, didnt like swing bouncer etc..wanted to be held--on chest to sleep would wake up if you picked him up..like to be bounced and walked around.
--Loves bath time in his baby bath tub
--Doesn't really love the pacifier..will take it occasionally but spits it out after a while or has trouble keeping it in. Doesn't really use it at night at all which Im fine with. Sometimes he acts like hes gagging when you try and give it to him.
--First babysitter Grandpa and Grandma Kraemer for our 5 year anniversary we went out to eat. you were pretty fussy for them.
--Sometimes likes walks outside..typically would scream anywhere I bring you...Target/etc so our trips out were few in your first month..too scared to take you anywhere
--doesnt care for car seat
--Got bad baby acne around 3 weeks--cleared up around 6 weeks...just like Landon had..very dry flaking scalp too. all around face and neck and head..upper chest area. We didnt bring you in bc I knew they wouldnt do anything for it and it would clear up on its own eventually.
--Smiles and giggles in sleep
--Not a huge fan of the play mat or tummy time
--Very active..moves head all around.
--Will suck on thumb or entire hand
--Will sleep on side sometimes or tummy if we watch you during the day.
--Likes to be walked around and facing out to see what is going on.
--Not a huge fan of being read to yet
--Usually tolerates diaper changes..loves to be on his changing mat for some reason and will smile after a diaper change.
This month flew by and was so difficult. You are much more fussy and anti napping compared to Landon..youd get so overtired and crabby and made it very hard to deal with the crying all day long. No matter what Id do you just would not stay asleep. Hated most things besides laying on people and being bounced. Mama had some very hard times with unexpected heavy bleeding...including a middle of the night ambulance and er visit..to a return er visit to have a emergency d and c done. Ive never been so scared. Hoping that is all done with and we can get onto happier times together. Although this month has been hard on all of us we are so happy to have you be a part of our family and know this i just a phase and will pass. Im sure I will miss all of our snuggles and bouncing around the house. hehee
Your brother loves you so much and has done great with the tranisition. He says its ok Im your big brother or tries to comfort you in the car when you are crying... Hell say funny things like are you a crabby baby? Tries to teach you how to say mama...tells you to give him high fives. He likes to help change your diaper and has given you a couple bottles with help. Im sure he cant wait to teach you all sorts of things and to play with you. YOu like to look up at him to see what he is up to.
